I am a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in clinical work. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Fordham University, a top ten social school of social work. My additional training includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training through Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech, Cognitive Behavior Therapy through the Beck Institute, Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions through the William Alanson White Institute.

I began my career began as a volunteer at a local grassroots counseling service agency in Rockland County, Volunteer Counseling Services. I continued training at a sister agency, a women’s shelter, where I became a rape crisis counselor and a Doula and learned hypnotherapy to support women through the birthing process. I then continued at another local agency, The Psychoanalytic Institute of Rockland for my credential in Substance Use Disorders counseling.

My professional experience includes having worked 10 years at New York Presbyterian Hospital — 4 years on the Substance Use Disorder unit and 6 years on the Borderline Personality Disorder Unit. My private practice has been an especially rewarding part of my professional life. Helping my patients return to their optimal level of function safely and in the context of healthy relationships is my most improtant priority. I can now offer my patients the convenience of coming in person to either of my private offices in Manhattan or Nyack or having virtual sessions.
